nutkit.co is a family run venture where the essence of our thinking is to align with nature. The journey has seen us unlearn and relearn a lot of practices to be softer on the environment. In the quest of furthering our knowledge on animal behavior, ethology, pharmacology, herbology we have explored Permaculture Design (Oregon State University), Food and Climate Change (Boot camp from Future Food Institute and FAO) & Applied Zoopharmacognosy (Caroline Ingraham IMIM).
Collectively we use our knowledge in ensuring ethical sourcing, testing, encouraging natural remedies as much as possible, imbibing sustainable practices and sharing our knowledge in all aspects.

![While Sunday may not be the day to read about grief, it's a day of the week when we have time for self care and self reflection.
Having adopted dogs, moved cities few times, moved houses as well with them - it's been a lot of learning on how all these changes reflect so much on their health when we don't address their emotions.
Worked with dogs with recurring long durations of reverse sneezing, to very fussy eaters, to dogs with constipation and skin issues - all with locked up emotions that were manifesting in these symptoms.
Dogs may not look depressed, they may go about their routine, they are amazing at adapting and enduring.
They are also sentient beings.
Feeling it more strongly than us.
Addressing their symptoms from a deeper understanding (mind, body & soul) helps meet their needs and heal them holistically.

![Ever so often I get asked about what essential oil to give for extreme daily fears, travel anxiety, pain etc.
And here's the thing.
No two dogs are the same and no two dogs need the same remedies.
Essential oils are very very potent and it takes understanding of each dog's needs and guidance with self selection .
I've been able to steal and share the.boys remedies only cause I've been training my own nose way before I stepped into the world of Applied Zoopharmacognosy by giving up on fragrances and all things chemicals years ago.
And dogs have an olfactory system that's way more sensitive and also have an innate ability to self select their remedies.
Hence we are careful when suggesting or recommending essential oils.
So please don't take it to heart when we don't give out an essential oil for your pupper over a DM.
We are only looking out for their well being.

![I've gone from obsessing over weighing food to the T, worried when I don't have all the organs during meal prep or having a supplement graveyard - to now doing what's sustainable.
